Turney Time Big Brother 5 also known as A Secret Story is the fifth season of the Turney Time Big Brother Series, which began on May 26, 2015, and concluded on July 3, 2015 with the live reunion..

In the end Mike S beat Victor C during the Final Jury Vote by a vote of 5 to 2. Mike was questioned by Victor for his lack of game moves or ability to successful pull of a move. However, the jury unanimously disagreed with Victor's views of Mike. The jury praised Mike for his strong strategic game and ability to convince Victor to save him in the last two evictions. Along with that, the jury showed great disdain towards Victor's unintelligent demeanor, inaccurate view of the game, and rambling during the jury questioning. Although the jury recognized that Victor had power and deals with everyone, they castigated him for failing to make moves that impacted the game and unnecessarily lying. However, some of the jury members appreciated Victor's dedication to the game and speeches during the jury questioning.

At the reunion, Rachelle L was awarded Underdog of the Season, Jacob S won Tengaged's Favorite Player, and Chris B won the TTBB Entertainment Award, and Austin B won Player of the Season.

Production

This season featured 12 houseguests all new to the Turney Time Big Brother series. The main twist of this season resembled that of The Basement from Turney Time Big Brother 2. The name of the twist this season is "A Secret Story", where throughout the season, a variety of twists appeared based on the houseguests' actions, just as if they were writing their own story.

25 people applied, 13 were cut from casting, 1 was selected via a public poll, and 11 were selected by production to become houseguests for the season. Along with the 12 new houseguests, past houseguests, Mike S from Curse of the Forgotten and JT H from Generations were invited to return for a second chance. The full list of house guests names was revealed on May 25, 2015.

Twists

The main twist this season was the "A Secret Story," where the action of the houseguests, and some aid from Big Brother, released a series of twists throughout the season.

• Assassins: At the start of the each houseguest was given a target, that they had to get evicted. If they got their target evicted, then they would receive a new target. The houseguest who got the most targets evicted before the end of the twist is given a special power. This twist lasted until Final 9
• Returning Houseguest: JT H and Mike S returned to the Big Brother house for a second chance at the game.
• Co-Head of Household: For Week 2, housguests competed in pairs during the Head of Household competition, with the winning pair sharing responsibilities. Both of the HoHs had to agree on who to nominate otherwise they would become the Final Nominees for the week.
• Instant Eviction: An Instant Eviction is when the Head of Household nominates two houseguests but there is no Power of Veto Competition, instead the houseguest vote to evict. The Instant Eviction took place during Week 3 when the houseguest failed to unanimously vote to evict a nominee during the Week 2 eviction. Another Instant eviction was held in Week 6 in place of a Fast Forward.
• Tengaged's HoH: During Week 5, the viewers were made the Head of Household, and had to vote on who they wanted to see nominated. The houseguests with the two highest amount of votes were nominated, if the Power of Veto was used, then the person with the next highest votes was nominated.
• Diamond Power of Veto: As a reward for eliminating the most targets, Mike S was given a Diamond Power of Veto. This veto came into play during Week 6 when Mike chose to save Rich M and name Jacob J as a replacement nominee.
• Double Eviction: Also known as a Fast Forward Day is when a week's worth of Big Brother happens all in one night. The double eviction for this season took place during Week 9.
